Measurement/Fitting
Upon successful completion of your initial evaluation, the measurement/fitting stage should begin. We have developed a superior method of traditional hand casting that provides consistent results time and time again. We often use this technique to create a negative mold of your residual limb. This mold is then modified and further developed into a dynamic test socket (DTS) that is used as a diagnostic tool to evaluate the fit, function and comfort of your new socket. You can expect to ambulate and test this socket design in a variety of environments assuring comfort and function. Together we will analyze all aspects of this new prosthetic design before it is fabricated.
Upon receiving your definitive prosthesis, we begin initial gait training to build a solid foundation for your rehabilitation. We work as a team with your physical therapist to challenge your abilities. Our prosthetists are always focused on achieving a comfortable, properly aligned and well fitting prosthesis.
Your definitive prosthesis can incorporate either a custom lamination or be cosmetically finished with one of our custom spray skins. All of our fabrication takes place in our state-of-the-art facility so as to maintain the highest level of quality assurance.
