Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you became an amputee.
I was born missing a fibula bone and my parents decided to amputate shortly after due to the trouble I was having walking with a limp.

How has being an amputee changed your life?
It has always brought out my competitive spirit and love for adventure and challenge.  I also developed a compassionate side that I may not have had if I didn’t go through such hard times.

Who has been your biggest inspiration in helping you achieve success?
My sister is my biggest inspiration because she works so hard and gives 100% to everything she does.  Growing up, she always included me in everything and it allowed me to discover my active lifestyle.

What advice would you give to others who are new to the amputee community?
Take advantage of the prosthetic care out there…it’s at its best with providing optimal comfort and opportunities to live an active lifestyle.

List some of your hobbies.
Weightlifting, cycling, running, kayaking, shopping, cooking and traveling.
